BioBots Project 2026
Welcome, CMS 7th Graders, Families, and Friends!
In this project, our students:
-Researched a species of their choice
-Designed, built and coded a robotic prototype that models an adaptation of that species
-Will present their research and robot in a final showcase at the University of Virginia!
You’re invited to the Rotunda at the University of Virginia for
BioBots Student Showcase!
Tuesday, March 17 - Thursday, March 19, 2026
Parents/Guardians: You will receive a message in ParentSquare with your student’s specific showcase date
Schedule:
9:15 AM - Depart CMS
9:45 AM - Lab Tours at the University of Virginia
11:00 AM - Showcase at the UVA Rotunda
12:00 PM - Lunch at Newcomb Hall
1:15 PM - Return to CMS

Introduction to the project and species adaptations through March Mammal Madness.
Coding with Hummingbird Robotics Kits.
Team BioBot design approvals.
